Hopi Ear Candles

Hopi ear candles are named after the Native American tribe who first introduced this gentle therapy to the West. The word Hopi means 'peaceful ones'.

The candle is a hollow tube made of cotton flax, which is impregnated with extract of honey and herb oils e.g. chamomile, sage or St Johns Wort.

The candle is ignited over the ear orifice and allowed to gently burn to within 4" of the end of the candle to produce a gentle local heat. The face is massaged as the candle burns down and then removed. The same process occurs on the other side.

Benefits

Ear Candles can help with:
  • Sinusitis
  • Rhinitus
  • Ear wax
  • Headaches, migraines
Contra-indications:
  • Ear infections
  • Grommets
  • Perforated ear drum
It is a deeply relaxing treatment that lasts for approximately 1 hour.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the art of applying essential oils to suit individual needs. The oils work directly on the chemistry of the body, via the skin and bloodstream.

Essential oils are pure extracts that contain the substances that give plants their smell. They can be extracted from the petal, leaves, bark and wood of many plants and trees.

Aromatherapy is believed to be suitable for people of all ages, and can treat many conditions such as nervous disorders, depression, headaches, insomnia, and muscular skeletal problems.
